SmCo Magnet VS NdFeB Magnet
1. Temperature Resistance:
* Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) magnets can operate at temperatures up to 350°C, while Neodymium (NdFeB) magnets are typically limited to 80°C-200°C.
* SmCo magnets are more suitable for high-temperature applications.
* SmCo magnets are highly resistant to corrosion and do not require surface coating, whereas NdFeB magnets are prone to corrosion and often need protective coatings like nickel or zinc.
3. Magnetic Strength:
* NdFeB magnets have a higher magnetic strength (energy product) compared to SmCo magnets, making them stronger in most room-temperature applications.
4. Cost:
* SmCo magnets are generally more expensive than NdFeB magnets due to the higher cost of samarium and cobalt.
